My first cross country flight

My first cross-country Flight.
It would be relevant to mention with great pleasure that I launched a success full 2 hours and 44 minutes flight that started from Zanni pass (12777 ft) and landed at Khot valley. The maximum altitude was 17200 fts. (covered distance 52 km)
With me was a foreign pilot who made his track toward Chitral town. When I took off I decided to fly to Shah Lasht.a beauty full tourist spot of the Khot valley. There was a local festival and I had already been invited in the festival. I stayed in the festival spot for 2 days. I participated in the festival and made many short flights from near by hills. The organizers and local people were very happy for my participation in the festival because paragliding was a new sport there in the valley which was introduced first time by me.

Foreign PG pilots Visit Chitral.
Zani pass (12777 ft) is an ideal launching point amongst  PG pilots, which attract a great number of  cross country pilots every year.
This year four cross country pilots from France , Serbia And Balgharia stayed in Booni for nine days, before they set off on their marathon gliding spree from Zani pass to Gilgit. They made many flights from Zani pass to surrounding village eg. Booni, Awi, Mastuj to prepare themselves for long cross country flight. Eventually, on Fry day, they took off from Zani pass and landed in Gilgit province but one of them namely Fancios came back to Booni to re-continue his flight and I accompanied him to Zani pass once again. At 8:30 am we took off and tried to gain enough altitude but he could not maintain his flight to Gilgit due to bed weather.
One of the unfortunate incident was that Mr. Fancios’ GPS was damaged and he was very disturbed. On Saturday he decided to go to Gilgit by road because the weather is forecast un- suitable to fly.
It was a good opportunity for local pilots to achieve a better flying skills from foreign cross country pilots. However Terich Mir Paraglidin Club (TPC) welcome all domestic and international Pilots to visit Booni, Chitral.
